Premier League: transfer window report card.

Transfer deadline day ended on a somewhat sour note for Hull City after the late swoop to sign West Brom striker Shane Long fell through. The would-be club record deal failed to materialise after Steve Clarke pulled the plug on the transfer.

However, despite this setback the window has been a successful one for Hull fans with a total of 11 new faces arriving at the club, the majority with Premier League experience. In particular, the double Spurs swoop of Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore has been the highlight of the window without question.

Gedo did arrive for a second loan spell with the Tigers towards the end of deadline day and whilst he proved a hit last time, another striker with Premier League experience would have been a welcome addition to the squad.

Transfer window rating – 7/10
