Premier League: which new faces have impressed you the most?
One thing you can guarantee when a club gets promoted is the accompanying influx of new faces to the side. At Hull City we saw a total of nine new faces, George Boyd and Ahmed Elmohamady turned their loans into permanent deals and Gedo arrived for a second loan stint.
While there are a few candidates for the player that has impressed me the most – from the defensive stalwart Curtis Davies to the assured Allan McGregor – the stand-out figure is without a doubt Tom Huddlestone.
His arrival from Tottenham was certainly a coup for the Tigers. It’s clear to see, with the season still in its infancy, the impact that Huddlestone has and will continue to have on Steve Bruce’s side. The 26-year-old brings a calming influence to the midfield. Add to that a passing range that is the envy of most top players and Hull have acquired a top signing.
